Shadow of Death is the second book in the Pete Stone, Private Investigator series. It’s a fun series for those that enjoy historical fiction and something written in an old style private eye mystery.

Don’t Call Me Dirty | Manga Review

Another 2021 TBR down! Don’t Call Me Dirty by Gorou Kanbe is a BL manga that I discovered thanks to vlogger ShaeGeeksOut. It centers on two young men, one homeless and one gay, and the prejudices they face in modern Japan. At first I was unsure how well the topic would be handled, but by the end I was honestly impressed.

Friday 56: Shadow of Death

“The Yankees won another one. Nothing new there, I guess. I haven’t read the rest of the paper yet. I only checked the baseball scores.”

He was tactful for a kid. He didn’t mention the murder or my role in it.

Shadow of Death by Michael D. Graves is the second book of the Pete Stone, Private Investigator Series. I read the first book last year and enjoyed it! My goal is to finish the series before work gets busy again.

Botchan by Natsume Sōseki  | Book Review

My first finished book of 2022! I found Botchan on my Hoopla recommendations page and decided to give it a go since I had a long holiday due to the New Year celebrations. This turned out to be a good decision because this classical Japanese novella had me laughing.
